Licensing Assistant

Join our team as a Licensing Assistant to support our Brand Management Team!

CP Brands Group is looking to hire a Licensing Assistant who supports the day-to-day management and growth of licensed brands by coordinating communication between internal teams, licensors, and external partners. This role assists with product development tracking, approvals, line sheets, and sales materials, while helping ensure brand standards, timelines, and contractual requirements are met. The Licensing Assistant also supports market preparation, maintains organized records, and analyzes sales and royalty data, playing a key role in keeping licensed apparel programs running efficiently and on brand.

Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, team player, be a self-starter, driven, detail-oriented, responsible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized database of contracts and style guides. product lines and assets 
  • Analyze royalty reports and prepare reports for team  
  • Manage contact lists for all brands  
  • Communicate and request from licensee product information for trademark usage 
  • Assist Creative Director with RBX and Avalanche product submissions  
  • Follow up on all outstanding legal agreements, and manage share drives of all files once executed  
  • Point person for CP brands website (updating pictures, information, posting jobs, posting press releases)
  • Manage PR intakes, product seeding and gifting  
  • Partner with brand and creative team on showroom maintenance (product requests from licensee, sample organization, changing product from season to season
  • Partner with Director of Marketing to manage social media platform
  • Assist team with any admin responsibilities (ie- travel research)
  • Conduct competitive research and market analysis when needed 
  • Help gather assets for retailer meetings, trade shows and licensing summits 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in licensing, apparel, or a fashion-related administrative role preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Illustrator a plus
  • Keen attention to organization, detail and accuracy; ability to work cross-functionally with design, sales, and production teams; understanding of apparel product development and brand standards; and a proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong interest in fashion and brand licensing
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in AI and Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc)
